Caddy

Caddy is a very special and lucky lady who survived a terrible trauma recently and is now recovering from her injuries in a foster home. About 3-4 years old, this sweet kitty loves affection, and in spite of her recent trauma, rolls over on her back so her belly can be rubbed. She will also let you pick her up and will sleep in the crook of your arm. The vets who treated her expect her to recover nicely from the injuries suffered and have a wonderful quality of life in spite of her wounds. Due to her injuries, Caddy will need to be an indoor cat only, as she sustained severe wounds to all four paws, essentially being declawed. We are looking for a special individual to take Caddy into their heart and home as part of their family.

Caddy is a two year old female kitty with large sparkling eyes, a grey/white coat and curious nature. This kitty is now declawed on all 4 paws. She survived being dragged by a car many months back, and lost all her nails at that time. She is friendly and affectionate, but still a little shell shocked from her experience, though a confident cat. Living in a foster home now, we feel she will be best in a quiet household without any other cats or dogs, nor young children.

Cadence

Born September 2022 Cadence is a petite Tabico (tabby/calico mix) but she packs a lot of love into a small package. Cadence adores people and will often stretch her paws up for a quick lift up into the arms of one of our volunteers. She's also happy to nap in an available lap instead of a soft cat bed. When Cadence isn't cuddling, she stays busy with her toys. She's quick and light on her feet. Cadence will do well in a family that can keep her engaged and provide plenty of laps for napping.

Caesar

is an adorable 12 week old kitten. His litter mates were both adopted and Caesar and his mother, Maya are still waiting for their angels. Caesar is a little shy, although he is improving every day. Does anyone have the heart to adopt him and possibly his mother too?

Calabaza

Born November 2021 This young tabby girl is easygoing and playful. She makes friends with everyone. Calabaza loves exploring her surroundings and will stop to play with anything that catches her eye. She enjoys attention and is always gentle with her paws. Don't let her size fool you, she has a good appetite and never turns down a treat. She would do well with a family and other feline friends. Calabaza would prefer a home without dogs.

Cali

Cali is obviously beautiful and although never having had a home, loves people, especially the good man who has been looking out for this lone survivor of a litter of kittens found in his neighborhood a little less than two years ago. She rolls over to have her tummy stroked and is a "real doll" according to Bradley. We've found that calicos, although a bit stand-offish to start, end up being the most demonstratively affectionate of cats. This is a win-win. Cali: Female, approx 13 years old, long hair calico. Adopted her as a kitten. She is an indoor cat. She takes medicine daily for a thyroid condition but it is very easy because she eats it in a pill pocket without any fuss. She is a loving cat and likes to run around and has a playful side. Cali and Misty

Cali and Misty are mother and daughter and what an adorable sweet and soft twosome they are. Cali (Mom) is an 8 year old tri color calico and her tan and white daughter is 4. Both have spent their entire lives together in a loving home, where sadly, their owner passed away a few months back. A family friend has taken them in temporarily and is urgently seeking a wonderful home for these two well loved kitties. Preferably we'd like to have them adopted together, if at all possible. Caligula & Gaia

Caligula (male tabby) and Gaia (female Siamese) are 10 1/2 years old and -- believe it or not -- they're from the same litter. Mama cat was on the street when she got pregnant, so there were multiple fathers! In any event, they've lived together with their owner since they were a month old and are to be adopted as a pair if at all possible. Caligula is super sweet, loves to make biscuits, and is great at headbutts, cuddling, and sprinting across an apartment and singing the song of his people for attention. A perfect day for him is where he gets chased all around the apartment all day. Gaia is more reserved, but she also loves to cuddle on her own terms. They both love catnip and each other. After all, they've been together for their whole lives! They're both totally healthy, normal cats, spayed/neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. Both of them have lived with children in the past and were a good fit. Caligula especially loves kids. They've never been around dogs but they both lived with another cat before. Caligula was totally mellow and got along fine with the other cat. Gaia never became buddy-buddy with the other cat, but there was a livable, peaceful truce. DOB - 10/13/24 Calista is a sweet little cowgirl who loves to round up her siblings for nap time and a spirited game of chase. If she is without a feline companion she will sit on your shoulder while you work and focus all her attention on you. Callie is not just adorable, but about as sweet as they come. She is a gentle girl and is rather calm for a kitten her age. She is about 5 mo. old.

Callie is one lucky kitten. Found , One of our volunteers found her bedraggled and alone in a parking lot while she was on vacation. Callie was taken to the vet and finally given her a 1,000 mile ride home. Cute and playful, Callie is a sweetheart of a kitten. KW

These adorable little siblings are 16 weeks old and enjoy playing and cuddling together. They are very friendly, outgoing and curious. They love to romp around with the other cats in their foster home and get along well with dogs. She will often look you right in the eyes and give you a great big "MEOW" as if she wants to have a conversation with you. Callie Kat gave birth in February (she is now spayed) and was a great mother who took really good care of her kittens, all of whom have been adopted. Callie is content to stay indoors, playful but also very mellow. Callie would be best in a one cat household, where she would make a wonderful feline companion.

Calliope

Calliope (and her sister Amanda and brother Ajax listed separately) was born early April and is about 11 weeks old at the end of June. Calli is a very gentle kitten who loves to snuggle and purr a deep rumbling purr once she recognizes you. She has very silky fur with a distinctive swirl pattern and large trusting eyes. She has been spayed already and would love to find herself a forever home. vc

Calypso

Born April 2010 Calypso is a handsome, quiet, friendly adult cat. He has been cared for his entire life and sadly lost his owner. Calypso will greet you when you enter a room and be a loving companion by your side. He still enjoys playing with wand toys and will start to purr the minute you reach out to pet him. Calypso is well behaved and looking for someone to call his own again.

Carmella is a little camera shy but she is the sweetest girl. She and Oscar were found abandoned in an empty house. About 1.5 years old in Nov, 2014, Carmella is very soft, gentle and sweet.

Cami

Cami is an adorable little kitten and the sister of Tux, also featured on our website. Born in mid-April, Cami and Tux love to play together, sleep together and have kitten fun together. Both are up to date with the first series of kitten shots and ready to find their forever home. Cami and Tux can be adopted separately if there is another cat in the household.

Camille's litter mates (Houdini & Darby) are also available. Camille's dob is 8/13/09. Camille is a beauty with longer fur. She is a little lady yet quite a tomboy while wrestling with her litter mates. Camille is sure of herself when meeting new friends. She enjoys affection but prefers the dog cuddle with someone else - she'd rather have a human. She is a sweet princess!

is a very friendly girl who loves to rub up against you and be petted. She is only about 1-2 years old and is very sweet. She is scared around dogs and would do better in a home without dogs.

Affectionate and loveable, she's a beautiful siamese mix dusted with cocoa. Endearing little hums when she's happy.

Candy is a one year old sweetie (Mango's mom). This brave mom raised her litter on the streets, kept them safe and well fed. Candy was once someone's pet and then tossed out to fend for herself at a very young age. But through it all, this little lady is still super friendly and loving. A real gem!

Candy & Chloe are both 10 week old females (as of 8-26-15). Both are cute, sweet and very affectionate. Candy loves to be held and will purr when you pet her. Playing, climbing and jumping are some of her favorite things. Candy is to go to her forever home together with her sister Chloe. Chloe is polydactyl and super affectionate. Curiosity brings her to explore and investigate. She loves to play with her siblings and her toys. cw

Candy Kittens

The Candy Kittens, Mr. O'Henry, Mr. Licorish, Mr. Jelly Bean and Mr. MnM are the best. Although mixed with siamese, they are American athletes, alert and watchful as they bat balls and leap over each other. You'd think they were playing for the big leagues! Mr. Jelly Bean has one green eye and one blue as you can see in the picture. Two brothers are all white except for little split gray patches on their head. Mr. O' Henry is not quite black. You can make out brown stripes if you look hard. Mr. MnM is sable black with dark brown stripes. The boys like to take breaks from their playing to sit gently on your lap or shoulder and they purr loudly the second you pick them up.

Candy Kittens

The "Candy Kittens" (3 females and 2 males) are as cute as can be. Only 10 weeks old (as of 7/5/16), they are all different sized, living in a foster home and ready to find their own permanent families. Rolo, Twix, Kit-Kat and Skittles (male) are all black and our little boy Pixie has tuxedo colors. At their tender age, we prefer if they are adopted in pairs or into a household with another young cat. ls

There are two girls and one boy. The girls are calico and red and white. The boy is the gray and white tabby. They are very affectionate and outgoing. They love people and are extremely friendly. They are now about 8 weeks old and ready to go to their forever homes.

Caramel is an adorable 9-10 week old kitten. His is very sweet & playful -- just the cutest! Very friendly and in a foster home with other cats, dogs and children. He is very well socialized and just loves affection from people and other pets.

Carina

is a young, dramatic Holstein (white with odd shaped black spots), elegant and small. She will talk to you when there is really something to say, put her arms around your neck and cuddle happily. She was the only pet of a family that had to move out of the country.

Carl

Carl or Grayboy is a cat for all seasons. He’s a little under a year old and as good as a cat can be. He likes people and cats, but would prefer a calm home without too much activity. He’s delightful and the best-natured with his huggable round body and round head and a beautiful soft gray striped coat. Sun King, who is his brother, is equally wonderful and has the same cuddly shape.

is a gorgeous, long-haired Tortie, about 9-10 weeks old. She's sweet, friendly and very playful.

DOB - 6/6/23 Carlisle is a beautiful little boy. He is a little shy still but is slowly coming out of his shell. He loves to play with his toys and gets along well with his siblings. Once he learns to trust his humans fully, there is no doubt he will be a cuddler.

Carlito is gorgeous 3 year old steel grey male. Has piercing green eyes and lush fur. He was put out with feral colony 2 years ago. Has survived 2 winters and was finally taken into family with a dog and was very happy. Unfortunately, their son was allergic so he now needs a forever home. Carlito is very friendly and has a calm demeanor. Loves to be petted and held. Good with cats, kids and dogs. BS

Carmensita

Born January 2020 Carmencita is a sweet little lady. She enjoys spending time with her human friends and often greets people with a quick meow followed by a nudge for pets. Carmencita will even tag along while you go about your daily routine. Just don't forget her food or she'll remind you with a plaintive cry. Her favorite activity is finding the perfect place to snuggle down for a nap and she's happy to share a seat. Carmencita is good with other feline friends.

Carmine

is a beautiful, affectionate and playful silver tabby - about a year old. He was left at a veterinarian's office and never picked up, possibly because he tests positive for FIV. He has no symptoms and is likely to live with no symptoms during a long life - if he has a good home. Now his life is in jeopardy because he is still at the vet's and they have to make room for other boarders. FIV is not contagious to humans so if you have a place in your home, even just a temporary one, please take Carmine in to give us more time to find a permanent home for him. If you have other cats with FIV or no cats at all, perhaps you can take him in for just a few weeks. We promise to take him back.

Carolina

Carolina is a stunning Abyssinian mix. She shows the classic traits: tapered face, almond-shaped eyes, large ears, a long athletic build and some dark ticking along her shoulders. Her regal bearing makes her look like an Egyptian goddess cat. Calm Carolina can be sweetly vocal, especially at meal time. She is a perfect lady who likes napping in high places, being near her people and having her head and chin scratched. Carolina is being introduced to the other cats in her foster home and she's not sure of the dog yet. Carolina was born around May, 2014. Carolina is perfect. Maybe it's her part Abyssinian background that makes her so calm, low-key and dignified. She says "please" and "thank you" for her meals, loves to follow her foster mom around and, in her silly moments, she thinks playing in the bath tub (no water, please) is amusing. Napping on the bed pillows is a hobby. Carolina is great with dogs and other cats. Truly, she's perfect. She was born around July, 2104. mk

Carolyn's Kittens

This is one of three adorable kittens born just 2 days before Hurricane Irene near St. Benedict's Rectory under a bush in the Bronx! The delightful trio (one is a tabby boy, and two are white with a smidgen of grey, being one male and one female) and their Mom have been in a wonderful foster home since birth. Now they're ready for a permanent place to call their very own. These fabulous kitties are very affectionate and not afraid of dogs. They are in excellent health and have had their first shots. Carrie's Kittens

Carrie's Kittens are Lorenzo (adopted 8-30-20), Andie and Capricorn, two girls and one boy. They are approx. 11 weeks old now. Lorenzo (adopted 8-30-20) is an extremely friendly, loving kitten. He enjoys playing and snuggling equally and is great with kids, dogs and his sibling kittens. Capricorn is a little shy at first but enjoys calm petting and snuggles. This little lady loves to play and is very active. Andie is the most shy of the kittens but longs for attention. She has gotten more and more involved with her human family and allows and enjoys being pet. This little girl with her lovely eyes is sweet and playful.

Born March 2019 This adorable boy is a cuddle bug. He would like nothing better than a person to love. Carruthers is also happy to spend time with other young furry playmates. He's a social boy that doesn't like to be alone. By the way, we hope you have a big bed because you're going to have to share. One look in those big eyes and we're certain you'll take him home.

Casey

Casey is a beautiful 12 year old Ragdoll with the true Ragdoll personality. His owner recently passed away and now the family is looking for a new permanent home for this lovely cat. If you want a cat who will meet you at the door and follow you around, Casey is the kitty for you. He gets along with all people, including children and dogs too. Casper is a beautiful, very sweet, lovable white kitten full of energy. Wants to investigate everything. Like a typical outgoing kitten, he finds his own play toys and invents his own games. Cass was rescued from the CACC with his leg in such terrible shape that it had to be amputated. Now, this sweet and friendly tabby boy livens up his foster home with his charm and his antics. Cassandra

Born June 2020 Cassandra is a gentle little lady. She was living in the basement of a bodega when she was rescued. Cassandra is sweet despite the environment where she was found. She adores soft beds and wand toys. She is happy to have regular meals and has quite an appetite. Cassandra would be happiest in a low key household with no dogs. She does get along well with other friendly felines.

When her owner moved and abandoned her and her brother, Cassie showed up at a neighbor’s door and asked to be taken in. About a year old, she is a long elegant calico. Cassie needs a family and a home of her own although she has made herself at home with a bunch of other cats and often engages in a chase with some of them.

Sweet little Celeste is a pastel calico, born late May, 2011. Daughter of Mama Mia, all of her litter mates have been adopted and Celeste is now ready for her own permanent home. She is a very playful and friendly kitty who seems to do very well with other cats. Naturally she is in excellent health and up to date with all kitten shots.

Cewpie (white with gray patches) born May 2004, is a real playgirl, loves to retrieve sponge balls, wrestle and snuggle up in your bed. She's shy only at the very beginning but will warm up quickly and purr. She's very gentle. Will make a great family pet.

Champs

Champs is a handsome 4 year old Siamese mix cat, rescued from a hoarding situation. Now living in a great foster home, where he can live a normal feline life, Champ likes to be petted, bump foreheads and walk around and explore. He is one curious kitty who also gets along with other cats. This special boy has come a long way and is a true survivor who will be a wonderful feline companion.

She’s interested in keeping track of who's around and what's going on. Chance and City were seen by their vet the week of 10/25/23 and are up to date with rabies and distemper vaccinations. They are in good health, spayed and microchipped. They would do best living with a small family or a single in a household with no dogs, but another cat should work. It is preferred that they be adopted together. Chandler Bing

Chandler Bing is a wonderful 4 month old male tabby. He is not only extremely handsome, with his remarkable markings, but he is the biggest mush around. He loves to be held like a baby and as soon as you pick him up or pet him, he purrs very loudly. He loves attention and would make a great family pet.

Chantilly's striking tabby swirls are like the lace for which she is named. What a stunning girl! Chantilly is all about appearance, whether she is meticulously grooming herself or a litter mate (also for adoption: Desiree, Desmond, Dax & Gabrielle).. But she's more than just a pretty face - she can run a rousing game of tag with her brothers and chase a toy mouse with lightening speed. Chantilly loves to be adored and you'll enjoy spoiling her! Born March 2020 Chapulina is a fun and affectionate little girl. She loves batting and chasing small plastic balls and is an expert at catching wiggly wand toys. Chapulina has a sweet side as well. She doesn't mind being picked up and is quick to purr whenever she receives pets. Chapulina isn't chatty but she will meow for meals and attention...her two favorite things. Chapulina is also dog friendly but should be the only cat in the household. She does well with older children.

was named after her father, Charles. All cloudy blue-gray, she's not only beautiful but affectionate and good-natured with people and other cats. She loves to be held and fondled but is not overly demanding. She has no experience with dogs but we suspect she would be good with them too. Charlene, about two years old, was just spayed. She has all her shots.

Born March 2017 This big handsome boy is gentle and calm. Charles enjoys lounging on soft beds, laying in the sun and lazy afternoons getting attention from his human companions. He's comfortable with other feline friends but prefers not to share his home with any dogs. If you're looking for a mellow fellow and a forever friend, Charles is the one for you.

a big-eyed faun tabby, appeared at the door of a friend of ours and begged to come into the house to join the family and other pets there. The vet, who agreed that she's beautiful and has a great personality, also declared that she is young and healthy but couldn't tell for sure whether she was spayed. Since we don't want to subject her to surgery if she doesn't need it, she is eligible for adoption to someone who is willing to chance having to have her spayed at a later date. She could go to one of our vets for spaying.

Born February 2023 Cheeto is a handsome orange tabby boy. He wandered into a cat colony in the Bronx and it was clear he didn't belong out on the street. Cheeto jumped into a rescuers car and found his way to the Kitty Cottage. He is a very social, affectionate cat. He's more than happy to get hugs and hang out on a lap. Cheeto does like to play! He's very skilled at pouncing and catching his toys. Cheeto likes a challenge so a wand toy session with one of our volunteers is a bonus. These adorable 5 month old kittens are about as sweet as they come. Picked up from an abandoned house in Yonkers, they have been in a foster home for about 2 months preparing for their forever home. Chili Pepper is a true survivor and a 7 month old (8/15/15) affectionate and playful kitty. As a young kitten, she was thrown onto the streets and a neighbor refused to feed her because she was not one of her cats. Once dehydrated and undernourished, Chili is now thriving in her foster home. She can now play like a kitten without a care in the world and no worries of when she will have her next meal. She's a firecracker, running all over and playing with her toys and the other cats with zest. She is super affectionate and loves to be held and loved. bs

Chili Pepper

Chilly

Chilly (an adorable, playful male kitten) is part of a litter of 4 kittens who were born (1/22/15) in a window well of an apartment complex in Riverdale. Our dedicated rescuer received a call from a friend who had been hearing kittens crying. She and another tenant rescued the kittens from their snowy hiding place and started bottle feeding. Chilly's siblings are Winter, Frosty and Snowdrop. Chilly is especially bonded to Winter and they need to be adopted together.

China

is a very special cat and needs a home with an equally special person, an experienced cat person who particularly favors Siamese Snow Shoes. China shows sweetness and love but also sometimes shows hostility to women. So China must go to a home, preferably a one-man home; to a man who will appreciate her need for affection and understand her fears that must come from her past experiences. We have known her for several months and have learned that in the right environment, she will be a wonderful pet.

Chip is a love bug! He'll tap you to get your attention, then purrs and dozes off as you pet him. He has unusual black markings on his snowy white fur -- a handsome little guy. Chip happily chases toys and his litter mates. He gets along well with other cats and is trying to figure out dogs. He was born in early May, along with his litter mates (Chuckie and Priscilla).

Chip is a lovebug who adores affection. Give him a warm lap, a kiss, a scratch behind the ear or let him sleep with you and he'll purr instantly. He's interested in anything his human is doing so he "helps" with household chores readily; making the bed is his specialty. Chip is very bonded with his brother, Magoo, also available for adoption. They do everything together and are an entertaining pair! Chip was born in early May and is great with other cats, tolerates/ignores dogs.

is a small, gentle, playful, and affectionate beauty who loves to be held. Under a year, she has calico/tortoise markings with white bib and muzzle. She appeared at the door of a young man and begged with her sweet voice and big eyes to be taken in. He couldn't handle another cat in his studio apartment so brought her to Pet Rescue who had her neutered and tested. Chloe, although asymptomatic, tested positive for leukemia. Leukemia is not communicable to humans or dogs. With good care and love, Chloe is likely to live a long normal life and would be a perfect pet as a single cat or a companion to other positive cats.

Reserved in personality and low maintenance, she must be the only cat in a quiet household, and will do best in an apartment environment where she can bond with her human in close quarters. Chloe LOVES when people sing to her. She starts slowly drifting off to sleep and if you do it long enough, she'll start purring. She is also happy to sit near a window and look outside and listen to soft music. Chloe will now "ask" for treats! She’ll stare at the treats for a while with her beautiful eyes, jump out of her box, and go paws up on the side of the foster's bed or desk to ask. Approached quietly, Chloe loves to be pet and will purr loudly when her human pets her. A peaceful household with a patient human who will accept her as a very sweet, yet somewhat shy kitty is what best suits our Chloe.

Poor Christian was hit by a car. We took him in and he was immediately seen by our vet who determined that he needed oral surgery. He has nerve damage so his face will always look a little droopy. The vet said he is healing amazingly and he will live a full life. This sweet tabby holds no grudges - he is just ready for a new start at life and a home that will love him forever. cp

Born February 5, 2023 Chumbawomba was born on February 5th along with his two littermates (Vanessa and Pickle). They are all funny, playful and lovable kittens. Born April 26, 2023 Churro – sibling to Dorado (listed separately). Is initially a little shy but will warm up to you in no time. Just let him come to you and then you will have his heart. Cinderalla! Cinderalla! An unusual all white cat, this one year old female feline was found abandoned on the streets. Though a little bit nervous at first (who wouldn't be if left to fend for herself on the mean streets), she is now coming out of her shell and learning to trust human companionship again. This Cinderella will soon be the delight of the ball. All she needs now is her handsome prince (or lovely princess) to claim her and take her home.

DOB - 10/13/24 This tuxedo boy is a real charmer. He enjoys playing with his kitten siblings but takes time to connect with the humans in the room. Born August 2021 Tigor and Clem are bonded siblings that love to play! Tigor is the "big" brother with darker orange coloring and a quirky bend in his tail. Clem is smaller with lighter tabby coloring. The boys are inseparable. Wherever one goes, the other will follow. They love a good game of chase, any toy they can find and long naps in cozy beds. Tigor is brave and curious, while Clem likes to take his time with new people and experiences. They are the perfect pair and would make a fun-loving addition to any family. Tigor and Clem are happy to share their home with other friendly felines and cat friendly low-key dogs.

Clementine

Clementine came to us as a pregnant mom who gave birth to a litter of kittens known as the Harry Potter Kittens. All have been adopted and now it's Clementine's turn to find her forever home. Spayed after her kittens were weaned, Clementine is approx. 1.5 years old, a beautiful calico with a sometimes spunky personality. She resides in our Kitty Cottage with other cats and does fine with them. With her striking looks she attracts attention and has come to enjoy that attention. An alert kitty, you can always find Clementine looking out the window at what is happening. She should be a fine companion for a single adult, couple or family with older children. Cleo is a 12 year old Maine Coon mix whose owner recently passed away due to cancer. Her owner's sister is unable to adopt Cleo and her fellow kitty, Molly (a brown tabby also featured on this website) but mentions that these two loving cats were her sister's children. Cleo and Tiger are two adorable, playful and active brown tabby kittens, from the same litter. Both are affectionate with people and get along well with other cats. Cleo is very outgoing, curious and has an adventurous spirit. Her brother, Tiger, is a handsome little boy, who will enchant you in his own quiet, calm way. Both kittens, born in early April 2012, reside in a foster home where they are receiving wonderful socialization.

Cleo's adorable kittens were born on August 8th.. there is 1 male (orange) and 1 female (tortoiseshell) left. The male is a polydactyl (an extra toe on their front paws). They have been living in a foster home with their mom since they were born and raised with kids. They are very friendly, loving and playful.

This long-haired grey and white male is a very sweet and pleasant boy who will delight you with his gentle, tender and loving nature. Just a bit shy, Cliff loves to be petted and responds with great affection to any display of human kindness. Found in a local parking lot, Cliff was brought to Pet Rescue by a kind individual who noticed that he would run up to all cars coming in to the lot in the sad hope that one of them contained the unknown owner who had so callously abandoned him. Approx. 2 years old, Cliff is neutered, in good health and up to date with immunizations. He would do well in a home by himself but is adapting nicely to his current environment with many cats.

Coco Berry & Tallulah

These two girls would love to be adopted together. They are very sweet, with very playful personalities. Coco Berry is a little fluffier, without white paws, and she is SO cuddly. Once she curls up on your lap, she is in heaven and gets super comfortable. She will just stretch herself on you, and she won’t move until she feels like it. She needs just a little time to warm before being ultra comfortable with you. A week or so will cure that. She feels much safer with her sister being around. Tallulah is the smaller girl, with little white paws and a white chest. She is very playful, and loves to chase her sister around the room. She is an adorable little girlie, with a sweet personality. She, just like her sister, is very cuddly, and she loves to give kisses. They are both very playful, and anything to them is entertaining, and worth moving for. DOB - 10/13/24 This little creamsicle will melt your heart. If you are sitting in a room with him and make kissing sounds he will come running to you for a scratch or pet. After a quick touch base he enjoys pouncing around the room with his siblings chasing toy springs. Once he has a spring in his mouth he is quite protective and will hold on to it not letting his siblings or anyone else take it away. After an exhausting round of spring chasing this little boy likes to cozy up with his siblings on your lap or at your ankles for a purr filled nap. Don’t stop petting him or he will give you a breathy meow to get you back to work! Put your ear plugs in because this guy's purr is loud and strong. This guy would be happiest in a home with other kittens or cats that will snuggle with him and jump with him.

Cole is a sweet little guy, with a lovely black coat and warm, curious eyes. He looks at you and you melt a little. He is a tad shy, but purrs up a storm when held and cuddled.

Cole will steal your heart in unexpected ways - and you won't mind! This handsome black kitty with the sparkling white spot starts by acting coy, training his human to coax him with treats. In reality, Cole enjoys being fussed over and purrs up a storm. He plays his hilarious versions of basketball and volley ball, has incredible paw/eye coordination in a game of catch (always catches toys mid-air!) and has jet speed in chasing toys. A helpful kitten, Cole is fascinated by flowers and "assists" with pruning and arranging them. He loves other cats and is fine with polite dogs. is about 6 months and very beautiful. She was found wandering outside in the cold. She is friendly.

DOB: 10/13/24 Colter- this friendly and energetic guy loves to wrestle with his siblings and play tag. Talkative and social, he would likely thrive in a home with other furry friends to entertain him. But, when it’s his nap time, you’ll find he is quite content lounging in the cat tree on his own or occasionally will come snuggle in on the couch next to you.

Coltrane

Coltrane is from a litter of five kittens (the W kittens) including the still to be adopted Pippin. Coltrane has a very sweet disposition and often starts purring as soon as he encounters you. He becomes a rag doll in your arms. He is larger than his siblings and can be quite independent. He can be adopted individually, especially to a home where there is another young cat or people who are available to give him attention. From the first day, Coltrane branched out to say hello. Comet

Comet is an incredibly sweet and loving and loyal 2 and a half year old cat. He loves to snuggle on a lap or even under the covers at night. He's social and friendly and considers himself to be part of the family. He is also highly intelligent and perceptive. He is wonderful with children and with other cats but is not thrilled about babies - which is why we are extremely reluctantly giving him up. Whoever gets Comet will the lucky recipient of years of loving affection.

Comet is a sweet, 2 year old gray cat who loves his snuggly cave bed. As quiet boy, who is quite social, he bonds quickly and easily with people. Very playful, Comet also gets along with other cats.

is an adorable 10 week old kitten with a bobtail. Very friendly and happy. Loves people and purrs like a motor.

Connor

Connor, one of the biggest cats we've ever had and one of the gentlest was found outside on the street crying. He did the right thing. He had been abandoned and had runny eyes and a drippy nose. Our vet took care of those as well as some infected teeth. He's fine now and would like to get out of his cage into a nice warm loving home where he can stretch out and show what a great all around guy he is. Connor is around 4 years old.

Connor has the luck of the Irish about him. He was found by a kind person while he was being mistreated by unruly kids that kicked him. He did not belong to anybody so they thought it was fun to torture him.
This 2 year old handsome black male is a friendly kitty who enjoys being held. If you're looking for a cat to pick up and carry around, consider Connor. He is unperturbed and adjusts easily to a new situation (you would never guess his past). He loves to sit in your lap and will just purr away till you have to get up. He is great with other cats and dogs too. He is a real special cat that will capture your heart if you give him a chance.

Contessina: this beautiful, sleek white cat with exquisite piercing yellow eyes and black highlight markings was an outside cat until she gave birth to 5 beautiful babies and became a Pet Rescue foster. Contessina is a cat that will make you earn her love and trust. She’s shy at first, and isn’t comfortable around strangers in the home. But as she grows to know you, she loves head scratches and being in your company. She’s very playful and can entertain herself for hours. She’s a cat with many boundaries but she deeply enjoys anyone who takes the time to understand her. She loves dogs. She may not be the right fit in a house with another cat.

Cookie is my name and I'm a mixed Maine Coon & Himalayan long-haired male cat with a fluffy tail. Only about 6 years old and in great health (neutered, shots etc), I'm very playful and always like new people. Born June 2021 Charlie is energetic and playful. He loves spending time rolling and romping with his furry buddies, and has mastered the "bunny kick" and "toss and catch" moves with his toys. Once Charlie has burned some energy, he's ready to spend quality time with his human friends. He enjoys pets and chin rubs. Charlie would do best in a home with a family and a feline friend to match his activity level.

Cooper is the absolute friendliest and cutest little "cow" kitty. At 14 months (4/1/15) this playful male is quite happy go lucky and loves everyone. Our volunteer found him when his owner was walking around the streets of south Yonkers with him in her arms approaching people to take him home with them. bp

Born April 2020 Cora is a sweet young girl with an affectionate yet playful personality. She does prefer to take a moment to get to know you before giving you approval with purrs and a nudge for petting. Once you are on the friend list, be prepared to shower her with attention. Cora loves to be pet and will circle you with her tail in the air for encouragement. She gets along with other young cats but would just fine keeping all the attention to herself.

Coral & Cricket

Coral (medium hair) and Cricket (short hair) are two darling-playful ffemale siblings, approx. 10 weeks old (as of 2/12/17) but still a bit shy.Â They warm up quickly when held and are truly lovable, as well as beautiful kittens. Â Coral and Cricket are very bonded and will only be adopted as a pair.

Coraline is an absolutely charming tabby & white two year old female, found on the street with a healed mouth injury (the top side lip of her mouth is missing and some of the gum and teeth are exposed). Coraline is being seen by a vet and is in good health, in spite of her old injury. She is very, very sweet, friendly and sociable. A real treat to be around. Coraline resides in a wonderful foster home where she gets along with the other cats, dogs and kids.

I am a little camera shy and close my eyes every time the flash goes off. In fact, I have gorgeous round eyes, not that you can tell in these pictures. I am a little shy of new things but, once I know you, I am a real snuggler.

Crackerjack is a adorable 8 week old Male (as of 6/6/15) kitten who loves to play with his brother Peanut who is also posted. With his extra toes that look like cute white mittens, he makes a great explorer and is very outgoing. He gets along great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home. He even thinks one of the dogs is his mom as she cleans him and he absolutely loves it. He would make a great addition to your home! Peanut and Crackerjack would prefer to be adopted together.

ADOPTION PENDIING Creampuff is as sweet as her name. This petite girl is gentle and affectionate. She loves to play but will happily rest by your side. Of course, receiving pets is one of her favorite activities. Creampuff is comfortable with other cats but can also be your one and only. This little lady, only 9 months old as of 9-6-19, will bring nothing but joy to her forever home.

Born December 2018 Creampuff is a petite girl with a friendly, outgoing personality. She has a habit of tilting her head and looking directly into your eyes when you speak and is a very good listener. Creampuff enjoys people and will happily share a space with you whether you're working at your desk or sitting on a soft couch. She isn't a talker but her affectionate leg rubs and nudges say it all. Creampuff also has a playful side to get ready to have some fun. Creampuff does have some special needs. She requires prescription food and some medication to keep her system in good health. She's a good eater and finishes her food with the medicine mixed in without a fuss. Creampuff has refined tastes and prefers crystal litter. Creamsicle is half vanilla, half orange, smooth and delicious. He's not more than 8 months old, snuggles up and licks your cheek or hand. He could not be better if you want a companion who will share your bed and try your food if you let him. And he is beautiful to look at, sunning himself at your window or deploying himself on your sofa.

Cricket and his siblings Cinnamon & Cheerio are adorable and playful kittens, about 3 months old. They are very sweet and cuddly & purr as soon as you pick them up.

DOB - 6/26/23 Crosby, a handsome silver tabby, is an amazing kitten. He is brother to Cosmo (listed separately). He loves attention and is particularly partial to those gentle head rubs. He enjoys playing very much and will often offer up his belly for a rub. Lately he has taken to relaxing on his fosters' laps for more of those head rubs! It seems he would enjoy a cat companion as he often tries to initiate playtime with his fosters' household cat.

is a gorgeous white female with crystal blue eyes (she is not deaf). She loves a gentle tummy rub and is very affectionate. She's spayed and has all shots.

Crystal is a gorgeous Flame Point Siamese with gorgeous crystal eyes. She is about 1-2 years old and very sweet and friendly - would prefer to be your only feline or another cat that does not want to interact too much. She is a quiet girl that loves to sit near you and watch or she will rub up against you for her petting sessions. This girl is just a lovely cat that is very easy to fall in love with.

Born July 2023 This petite girl is curious and loves to explore. Crystal enjoys watching the activity outside from a comfortable window ledge. She is outgoing and interested in everything around her. She will happily stay busy with any toy she's offered. Crystal doesn't mind taking time out for pets and attention. She's very affectionate but prefers to have her feet squarely planted on the floor rather than up in someone's arms. Crystal is friendly with other cats.

This sweet little Main Coon mix girl is just adorable and so gentle. She is about 6 weeks old. She would love to find a home with her brother Moxie. No young children please, since they are still so small. This is one of the gentles kittens I have ever fostered.

Cupcake is a real charmer and also a feline dynamo. Playful and beautiful with the most striking markings, she likes to be petted and loves to play, play, play. Cupcake will be best as an only cat in an active household without small children. KC

This little male kitty was one of a litter of 5. His mom was brought in off the street just before Cupid and his siblings were born. Mom cat now has a permanent home. Cupid and his siblings, Little Romeo, Venus, Rose and Ruby are extremely playful and purr machines.

Born December 2021 Cupid is a handsome swirl tabby. He's happiest when he's receiving pets, chin scratches and even belly rubs. Cupid would rather get attention than food but he is a healthy eater. He was rescued from a situation where his well being was not a priority. He needed vetting and good nutrition. Cupid is now happily surrounded by caring people and a few furry friends. He is an easy going cat with a loving nature.

Curry is a big beautiful boy - very sweet and friendly, with unusual markings. He is fun to watch and one engaging cat!

Adorable 10 week old (as of 9-28-15) little Curry was picked up by a homeless person who felt bad for him. He was dirty and starving and the kind person that rescued him shared his curried chicken with him every day for a week till he found a place where he could surrender the kitty. Curry is now a happy, bouncy kitten looking for a loving home and is just the most adorable little boy you have ever met.

Curtis is a handsome Russian Blue mix, 8 years old and in great health. He is very affectionate and endearingly vocal. This boy loves catnip, toys, and sunning on his cat tree by the window. He also loves spending time on the couch with his foster parents. Curtis is playful, but can get carried away and his fosterers feel they can't have him around their newborn, so are in search of a loving home for this great kitty. Curtis

Born April 2020 Curtis is a friendly boy with a loud purr. He enjoys attention and pets. Curtis isn't a big talker but he will call out with a few meows if he's missing you. He enjoys playtime and lounging in soft beds in the sun. Curtis has had a hard life out on the streets but he has remained affectionate and trusting. The only thing Curtis needs now is a forever home.

Cutie Cat

Cutie Cat is a beautiful female calico/tabby mix (black, red, grey and white). Very friendly with people, Cutie Cat appears to be completely deaf. She will not respond to sounds, but she does respond to vibrations in the floor and she responds if she sees you signaling to her with your hand. All in all, communicating with her is not much different than communicating with any cat. She appears to have been abandoned and was living outside where a kind gentleman rescued her, took her to his vet and found that she is in excellent health. Cutie Cat is spayed, received all her vaccinations and is ready for adoption. We feel she would do best as an only cat in the household. Cypress

Born March 2023 Cypress loves to play. Every toy is an opportunity for fun and having a human friend wave a wand toy is the best. Cypress is outgoing and affectionate. He will greet people at the door and spend time winding around your legs to get some attention. Cypress also spends time watching the world outside. He does tend to make a little noise when he sees a bird pass by. Lucky for the birds, he lives indoors. Cypress has a good appetite and will remind you to feed him on time with quick meow. If you happen to have a treat for dessert, even better.

Cyrano

We're not sure how this beautiful long-haired boy ended up on the street because he is very friendly and a true lap cat. We named him Cyrano and he would love a warm, cozy home with a family to love him and laps to sit on. He is outgoing and curious, but we do feel he would do best as the only cat in the household.
