is very laid back and friendly. About 2 years old and around 15 lbs. Sweet and loving with all. His fur was matted when he came to us and he had to be shaved down. His fur will grow in beautifully, like his face in this picture. He is a lap dog. Loves attention, but is not pushy. Has a great personality. Gets along great with other dogs. Gail is a real sweetheart and would fit right in with any home. She is a lab mix about 4 years old. In her foster home she blended right in with the foster Mom, Dad, cats and dogs. She is so well behaved and calm. Loves to snuggles on the sofa with you anytime you let her. She totally loves children and tries to burrow into them as close as she can get. House broken and crate trained even though she does not need to be in one. A sweeter pup you would not find.

Garfield
Garfield is the sweetest pug/beagle mix this foster family has ever come across. He is about 2 years old and 20 pounds of playfulness. Garfield loves to romp with his foster siblings and is very respectful of the older dogs in the home. He plays with toys and is learning some basic commands with the promise of a treat. This handsome boy's name is Garrett and he is a Shepherd mix, about 15 months old and weighing 55lbs. He is a typical boy who loves to go to the dog park and run and play with other dogs. He enjoys his rides in the car and just sits and looks out of the car window. He is completely house broken and will let you know when he has to go out. He also gets along and plays with the other dogs in his foster home. He has a typical shepherd personality and would do best with an experienced owner. He needs time to warm up to strangers, but it's usually only a few minutes and then he accepts them. We would recommend a home without young children. George is a very sweet dog...very polite and well trained. He takes a little while to warm up to people and will choose one person as his "person" and become their shadow. He seems to be a ladies man, and will do best in a house with women...perhaps one single woman, and no young children. He’s not one to cuddle with you on the couch, but will follow you wherever you go and lay next to you. His favorite thing ever is to be outside or to watch outside from a window or door. He walks beautifully on leash, never pulling. George gets along with most other dogs and goes on a group pack walk with up to 6 dogs, 3 days/week. He is a very quiet guy and almost NEVER barks. is a young adult spayed female chihuahua. She is approximately 4 years old and 8lbs. She was left behind with CheyChey, another chihuahua, after their owner died. A kind neighbor contacted us and we took them to live in a foster home. They share that home with other dogs, including chihuahuas, and cats. They would not do well with children. Gia pays special attention to CheyChey making sure that he is ok. She is loveable. She enjoys sitting on her foster mom's lap and being petted. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and other dogs. is 2 1/2 year old spayed female chow/retriever mix and the perfect size. She is housebroken and extremely smart. She has had formal training and knows simple commands such as sit, stay, heel and down. She is also a good watchdog and will protect her home. She would be happier in a home without other dogs and young children (under age of 10) since she likes her peace. She really is a loving girl and very smart. She also likes to swim. is a fabulous almost 3 year old, 20 pound dachshund. She was given up by a family that just didn't want her any longer and even when they had her they kept her tied up outdoors. Now in her foster home for only one day she has proven herself to be housebroken, well mannered, gentle and extremely loving. She gets along with the other dogs as well as cats and rabbits in the house. Gidget has been spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is a wonderful family dog and will complete any family. She enjoys car rides, curling up on the couch with her new foster humans and wound up in snuggling in bed her first night in her new and very different surroundings.

Gidget is a 1-2 year old 6 pound chiweenie- a mix between a Chihuahua and a Dachshund. She is sweet, gentle and playful. She follows her friend CC around but is quite comfortable on her own as well. She loves to play with all the dogs in her foster home and is quite adventurous. She truly enjoys rolling around with her big foster brother and when they are finished she curls up between his front legs. Gidget has become quite the dancer when promised a treat and is learning some basic commands. Like her best friend CC, Gidget is not thrilled with trips to the dog park and not sure what to make of the snow but is very happy accompanying her "family" on errands in the car and on walks. She sleeps through the night curled up inside a terry bathrobe in her laundry basket bed.

We have no background information on her, since she was abandoned by her previous owner. She is a very loving dog who needs full time attention. She is very active and has a real zest for life and is very smart as well. No couch potato here! She would be a perfect candidate for obedience or agility classes because she takes direction so well and thrives on learning new skills. Gilda is a beautiful black lab, weighing about 55 lbs. Her twin sister Hilda is also posted. Gilda is sweet, sweet, sweet! Gizmo is about 4 months old and around 15-lbs. He looks like a cross between a Leonberger/Belgian Shepherd mix. If one word can describe this dog - beautiful! Brown with black shading and a black muzzle, he is big and healthy. He was living in a drain pipe and brought to the pound, where Pet Rescue found him. He is gentle and gets along well with other dogs. He is a little shy around people but once he gets to know you he loves to cuddle. His new family will need a little patience but will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion! He "goes" only on paper inside and "goes" outside too.

Gizmo is a very gentle laid back boy. He is 16 lbs and around 1 year old. He's a sweetheart, gives kisses and loves napping on his pillow at your feet or lying on your lap. He walks well on a leash and rides well in the car by curling up in a ball on the back seat. Gizmo is housebroken and very calm submissive. Jasmine is his sibling and is also posted. They both had to be shaved down because they had awful mats in their hair. They both are non-shedding and will need to be combed and groomed on a regular basis. This little love bug is Gizmo. There are not enough words to say how cute he is. He is a terrier mix around 3-4 yrs. old and weighs 17lbs. He is good and loves to play with the other fosters. Gizzy is an absolute charmer and the sweetest dog. He's 1-2 years old, about 15 pounds. He can go from being a low enegy lap dog that loves to give kisses to a high energy companion for my own dog very quickly. They love to play all day long, but as soon as I pick him up, he is ready to stop the rough housing and cuddle for as long as I want. He adjusted quickly to my walking schedule and seems to be completely house trained. He loves to play with toys, but he has not been destructive or chewed on anything else. He likes to share his toys and food without growling or aggression. He knows basic commands, and he minds me when I tell him to come, stay, sit, and down. He is crate trained and doesn't bark or whine when I put him in it. He is great walking on the leash, and does not pull at all. He seems to love riding in the car; when you open the car door, he jumps right in and gets comfy in the passenger seat. He loves to be brushed.

Golden is a very pretty hound/lab mix, about 5 months old and 23 lbs. She has some corneal scarring and is blind in her right eye but it doesn't make any difference to her. Bear is the brown one, followed by Jack and Courtney ( the 2 smallest), Daisy ( the lightest one – very timid, but warms up fast), and Breezy ( the fluffiest one). They are all very docile, affectionate, and just love to be held and cuddled. Paper trained with a few misses here and there. These are beautiful pups with great temperaments. Great with kids! is a four year old female,Belgian Malinois Shepherd, aprox 45-50 lbs. She is affectionate and protective of her family members. Goldie knows her basic commands. She is living with children and another dog, her Lab Mix sister Zoe. She enjoys running in her fenced yard but also enjoys long walks on the leash. She likes to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She can catch a ball and loves to be chased to get it back, very playful, energetic, and a pleasure to have around. She barks at cats but did live with a cat for a short time and seemed ok with it. Gopher is a sweet and happy little 10 week old pup. He is a busy puppy patrolling the yard to check for any new smells or sticks that may have appeared since his last time out. He get along well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves to snuggle up and give kisses to whoever will receive them. Gordon, 1-2 years old and about 65 lbs. is an absolutely stunning Border Collie/Bernese Mountain Dog mix with the best look of each. He has the body of the border collie, though bigger, the head of the Bernese, beautiful brown eyes, a heart of gold and a tail that's always wagging He is sweet as can be, loves being near people, smushy cuddling, being pet and rolling over for belly rubs. Gordon walks well on the leash, knows his basic commands and even has a beginning knowledge of fetching a ball. Though he is working on his housebreaking, Gordon sleeps quietly through the night without any accidents. Really, all this baby wants is to be part of a loving family and he definitely promises to love you back. So, what do you think?

Gordon
Gordon is 6.5 years old. He was rescued after being abandoned, we found him starving. He is a special and sweet dog that needs attention and patience. Ideally, his new home would be with an experienced adult who can manage a large anxious dog because he can be aggressive sometimes. Gordon likes to play fetch and tug of war.
He is a good companion, but will require time and effort to train due to his unpredictability (last year he bit another dog but has not done that since). Gordon has recently been boarded at Biscuits and Bath (an overnight doggy daycare) on multiple occasions for a few nights, so we know that he can live with others and is responsive to strict boundaries/training. Gordon is active and loyal.

Gordon
Meet Gordon! He is one of the dogs rescued by Petrescue from a difficult hoarding situation. Gordon is one of many dogs who were housed in too small an area and given no personal care. When he arrived at Petrescue and was examined, it became apparent that he would need surgery to repair a bladder anomaly, and 3 weeks later a hernia. This boy is AMAZING! He recovered quickly in his foster home… full of dogs, cats and people. Unsurprisingly, Gordon takes a little while meeting new people, but has become friendlier and is interacting more and more. He is out playing more with the other dogs,…running in the house and walking around more freely. He is learning to climb stairs and with a little coaching, is making progress. Gordon loves to hang out and sleep in his crate or at bedtime, in a dog bed in his foster’s bedroom, with 5 or 6 other dogs. When he decides it is bedtime, he will go in his crate and sleep quietly all night, and will use a wee wee pad. He is not a barker, but loves food and treats, and that is the only time you may hear him bark. He has learned a lot from living with other dogs, and when his foster mom says “who wants to go out?” he will go to the back door with the rest of the dogs. His foster mom says that Gordon is really a low maintenance dog. He likes other dogs and cats and has no food aggression. This little guy as been through so much, and has weathered it all. Now it’s time for Gordon to be showered with all the security and love he deserves, in his new loving forever home. He’s earned it! Gouda is a sweet 12 week old yellow lab mix about 15lbs. She is a sweet, and very loving puppy. She resembles a short haired yellow lab and has a very athletic body structure. She is a little bit shy, but warms up quickly and also plays energetically and actively with her littler mates. She loves toys and warm blankets. She is doing great on her house breaking (outside pee and poo) and will use pee pee pads as well. Grace would do best in a home where someone can dote on her all day long. She likes to spend time taking her naps in the outdoors during the day. She sleeps all night and is so happy to see you in the morning that it melts your heart. Gracie loves her dog bed and plops down on it wherever you put it! She is a 3 month old, 18 pound lab mix who is not only so cute and sweet but well behaved. She travels nicely in the car, sleeps through the night, good in the bath, not a barker or a whiner. She gets along well with the other dogs and cats in her foster home and is enjoying romping around in the snow. She is very smart and is already learning to come when you call her. She has not had any accidents in the house.

She fetches and releases, plays Frisbee and enjoys long walks and would make a great running partner. Guinness is a very sweet, affectionate and handsome young man. He is about 1 1/2 years old, 50 pounds and a graceful mix. People have said that he looks like a Belgium Sheepdog but with the coat and ears of a Lab. He has also been compared to a collie and even a grey hound. What we can tell you is that he is a delight. He is very active, playful, and smart. He knows basic commands, is easy on the leash and great in the car. He enjoys his romps in the park but never leaves sight of his foster mom. In the house he is happy just to be in the same room as his family. Guinness can also spend hours playing with the other dogs, big and small, in his foster home and is very respectful of the older dogs in the home. Guinness will sleep anywhere his bed is but absolutely loves snuggling in bed with his foster parents. Guinness would love an active family and perhaps a yard to explore.

He is a year and 1/2 old, neutered, house trained, and up to date on all vaccines. Guinness is good with people and is friendly with family and friends that come to the house. He has lots of energy, and loves to run around the yard playing fetch. He will make a wonderful hiking or walking partner. Guinness also knows how to relax, and will never turn down a belly rub. He likes a lot of attention, and enjoys cuddling up and watching TV with the family. He’s a smart guy and knows the following: sit, wait, come, lay down, leave it, “get busy” (for going to the bathroom outside), “go to bed”.. for going into his crate, “get it” for playing fetch. Gumbeaux is an adorable Terrier/Dachshund mix pup, about 4 months old and 8 lbs. He is very sweet, outgoing and friendly. This little boy has no trouble holding his own with the other puppies, who are larger than he. He has the typical terrier personality and will make you laugh with his antics.

Gunner is a 1 year old Chi mix and around 15 lbs. What a cutie! He is a very sweet and affectionate boy. He is a little shy at first, but it is only because he is looking for some attention. He is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and he seems to be doing just fine. This is all new to him, but he is settling into his foster home very nicely! He already has a favorite dog bed which is much smaller than him, but it is not stopping him from curling up in it. He can be very playful and because of this he should be with children over 8 years old.

He follows his foster mom around all day, loves to sit next to her and sleeps in her bed. He loves to romp and play with other dogs. This little guy was very shy at first. He has made a lot of progress and has become much more trusting. His butt is constantly wagging and he would love to be in a home with another dog; preferably another young one to play with. He is such a playful little fellow. He also loves cats. Gus should go to a home with older children who can give him the space to come to them. He will reward them immensely. He loves children and will give them tons of kisses. He is about 5 1/2 months old and around 22 lbs and sweet as sugar.

We call Gus the wonderboy who survived not eating for 2 weeks because the shelter he was in did not have food to feed him. Now he is gorgeous, gained some weight, and his coat is nice and shiny, thanks to the good diet he is on. Looks forward to going to the dog park to play with the other dogs. He loves to chase the frisbee and catch balls. Jumps very high to catch them. He loves to be in the car for rides to the park. A very intelligent boy who follows commands, and is completely housebroken. Anyone who adopts him is getting a very special dog.

is attentive and seems very obedient. She is from a hoarder who kept around 100 dogs on her property and was not able to take care of them all. She was starved when she was picked up and is very food motivated. She is a sweet pup getting used to her foster home. She gets along with the other dogs and cats in her new home and loves to snuggle with her new foster parents. She does gobble her food but doesn't beg or counter surf. She appears housebroken and is getting used to walking on a leash. She is small enough to easily train. Although she doesn't know her name yet she comes in from the yard when called. Gypsy will make some lucky adopter very happy! She is about 2-3 years old and around 33 lbs.

Gypsy is about 1 year old and 10 lbs. She is very playful. Despite her short legs she can keep up with anybody. At home she is calm and loves to snuggle. She loves all people and will go right up to them to be petted and is great with dogs and cats. This is a good dog for a first time dog owner since she is so easy to love. One of her most endearing qualities is the tongue that always sticks out just a little on the side of her mouth.

Gyselle is a wonderful, gentle, sweet, playful and calm girl. She loves playing in the back yard, riding in the car and hanging out in the house. She is about 3-4 months old and 10 pounds of love. She is great with other dogs of all sizes; she shares her food and toys ;and snuggles up when she is ready to go to sleep. She is probably part Australian Shepard and maybe dachsund- her mother Sara, 20 pounds, is also up for adoption and pictured on the site. Gyselle is totally papertrained and ready to use the great outdoors. Gyselle reminds the foster family of the Pokey Little Puppy children's book series- plump, soft, curious and full of kisses.
