is a gorgeous spayed female Tortie, with beautiful blonde and black markings. She is about 5 months old and very sweet, playful and outgoing. She is being fostered with cats and dogs.

Sabrina is very sweet and affectionate. She has neurological issues due to a bout with distemper which makes her loose her balance more easily. She is now healthy again and is going to need a home that understands her handicap. She went back to the vet for her check up and has come home with a glowing report. She is stable and will not need any additional medical care. She should live a long and happy life. This is one of the most affectionate kittens you can find. You will not regret it if you give this lovely girl a good home. She is great with cats, dogs, bunnies, people, you name it. But she will need a home where nobody can hurt her. She does loose her balance more easily than a regular cat. Also, she is not contagious to other animals. Sabrina is about 4 1/2 months old and 4 lbs. Did I mention that she is a lovebug? Sally was rescued in Yonkers by a lovely couple who couldn't keep her when they moved. Their love allowed Sally to blossom into a wonderful family addition. She is now in a foster home with other cats including her son Sammy, and rabbits. She enjoys all of the attention she gets by her foster parents and visitors. Sam, an affectionate and altogether sweet-natured young charmer, will make a great family pet. Samantha is a super friendly and social senior cat, who with her pal Max (also featured on this website) was left abandoned in a house in Rye Brook, NY when her elderly owner passed away. Cared for by a kind housekeeper, they are in need of a new home immediately as their residence is soon to be sold. Sammi is spayed and up to date with vaccinations, last seen by a vet in May 2019. These 4 adorable kittens are unique. Each one in the litter has a distinctive personality and appearance. Here come three cute male kitty siblings, all ready for adoption! Bandit is a short hair black and white male with lots of grey on his sleek body. He is a very curious little boy and loves to get into everything. He is also playful and more independent and adventurous than his other siblings. Frankie is a mid-length black and white male, a bit smaller than his siblings and the shyest of the bunch. But our Frankie loves to explore and is full of kittenish playfulness. Ton is the short haired grey and white male. He is playful and curious and very affectionate. Ton likes to sleep in bed with his foster Mom, as do his siblings. All three kittens get along with each other, as well as with their foster Mom's dog.

Sambuca and his siblings are 7-8 weeks old and just adorable. They are extremely loving and playful too.

"Sammie the little tuxedo is catching up on her beauty sleep. She was found on a busy street in Mt. Vernon. She was emaciated, and starving for both food and human attention. Sammie is probably about 11 months old (as of 8/6/16). She’s petite and very lady-like. She is not too fond of cats though. Life on the streets is hard. Cats like little Sammie rarely win the battle for food and shelter. Sammie’s old neighborhood is loaded with abandoned cats and kittens. Today, Sammie is a happy, super-sweet and extremely affectionate. All she wants to do is be with people. She’s like a beacon; finding Sammie means finding the rest of the family too. is a handsome Tabby with leopard-like spots on his belly, about 1 year 8 months old. He was a stray cat who was very grateful to be brought indoors. He really likes to play and chase after his toys. He loves human companionship and purrs like a motor whenever his cheeks are gently scratched or rubbed. He will be a great and loving companion.

Sammy

This gorgeous guy is Sammy. He was pulled from death row and has stolen the hearts of everyone at Pet Rescue. Sammy has no idea that he is different from any other cat. He runs, jumps high into the air for fun, loves to chase strings, cuddles up and practically speaks to you with his gorgeous eyes. He loves dogs, other cats, all people, large or small, and is a very easy-going soul. His favorite pastime is watching the world pass by in the great outdoors. If you have ever read the wonderful children's book, Ferdinand, he is just like the gentle bull in the story who loves to sit and smell the roses. Plunking down in a puppy pen in the tall grass suits Sammy just fine. Why is Sammy different from other cats? He has a condition, Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which affects his fine motor control. Sammy does not sneak up on you, he proudly strides around like a Clydesdale horse, lifting his legs high into the air. When really on the move, he may meet head on with a chair or a wall from time to time ­ just bouncing off it and continuing on his way. Some of the kids call him bobble-head. Sammy's "different" way of moving only makes him more endearing. His condition will not affect his life expectancy nor will his condition worsen with age. He simply is what he is, a beautiful, loving boy who moves to a different beat than his friends. Come and meet Sammy and let him steal your heart as well and see if he is the right cat for you..there is nothing that Sammy would like more than to find his forever home.

Sammy and Sasha are two beautiful, pure breed ragdolls. They are 2 years old, spayed, neutered, up to date on their vaccinations and declawed. Sammy (male) and Sasha (female) are very attached to eachother and need to go to a home together. Sammy is very outgoing and friendly, always exploring and begging for attention. Sasha is still very shy and for this reason they will need a patient owner who will help Sasha come out of her shell. They would do best in a quiet household. Their owner who has had them since they were kittens was sent to a nursing home and her breeder refused to take them back without euthanizing them. These two gorgeous kitties need a new home to be spoiled and loved in. Keep in mind that this breed does shed.

Sammy is orange and Sadie is black. They are 2 in a litter of 4. Approximately 10 weeks old. Very sweet and playful.

Sampson

Sampson, or "Sammy" as he is known affectionately, is a 11 year old black and grey striped kitty with white on his chest. Very healthy, neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. Sammy is very affectionate and responsive and loves to be rubbed on his belly. He loves to play with lazer lights and string. Sammy needs a new home because he is one of 2 cats still not adopted when his beloved owner recently passed away. Sammy now resides in a foster home waiting for a new loving permanent home to open up for him.

Sampson & Delilah

Sampson and his mom Delilah would love to find a home together. The rest of the kittens were adopted and these two have really bonded together. It is so sweet to see them play and cuddle up. Both are affectionate and friendly. Delilah is spayed, Sampson is still too young.

Samson

is a cool cat, a big beautiful Maine Coon with the best possible disposition. He gets along with other cats, dogs, and people and, between cat-naps, visits our other cats and explores all the corners of the house. Samson is perfectly domesticated. The father of his former owner who moved from home without Samson and her father, not interested in taking care of him, let out on the street where a neighbor found him. He is very easy to get along with and love.

There are 4 kittens in this litter. They are all very different. One is a long haired beauty, one looks like a Siamese with bright blue eyes, and two are adorable black and white kitties. Sandy's Kittens

These adorable kittens, about 5 weeks old now (born mid-February) are still too young for adoption as they are not fully weaned from their Mom yet. Born outside, they were rescued at 2 weeks and the 5 kittens (4 girls and 1 boy)are all very friendly. Living in a foster home where they each receive tender loving care, the little darlings will be ready for a permanent home in approx. a month. All are tuxedos with one panda!

Sansa is a sweet 8 week old girl who is a little bit shy at first, but loves to play and eats like a lion. This little kitty is purrfect in every way. She lives in a foster home where she is much loved.

Born January 2021 Santana is a well mannered boy with distinct tabby markings. He loves to chat and has a wide range of meows and chirps, one for every occasion. Santana will even ask for attention. He loves to have his chin and cheeks rubbed. He does enjoy playing and never tires of tossing his toys up to catch. Santana should be the only cat in the household. No dogs please.

Sapphire is a sweet lovable young lap cat, with a lot of Siamese in her background. She makes fast friends with everyone she meets. Playful and lovable, Sapphire will roll over for belly rubs. I have had the pleasure recently of having Sarah at my home for a short time. This young sweet, energetic kitty would play constantly for hours, or watch the comings and goings of people and birds out the picture window. She purrs at some sweet words, or a quick petting. She is a real love bug. She would do well in most any home with or without other friendly cats. She is social and self assured. Sarah is intelligent, inquisitive, and has such a sweet nature, it would be hard for any feline lover not to fall for this young beauty. is a beautiful grey Tabby, about 10 months old. She was rescued from the streets of Port Jervis. Petite in build but huge in personality. She runs to the door if the doorbell rings to see who is coming. She gets along fabulous with dogs, cats and children. She is also very playful and can keep herself entertained for hours on end. When she wants attention she will gently reach out with her paws and grab a hold of you. Then she stretches out her whole body so you can rub her chin, chest and belly. She is just a real sweetie!

Many cats play hard to get but not Sasha. The minute you touch her she purrs and talks - a little bit like a chirp. And she nuzzles and puts her front paws on you. We're sure she has many things to say like:" I am so happy that some nice people picked me up after my family moved away and I had to rummage in the garbage. I was hungry and confused and so skinny, I looked sick. Now I'm fine as you can see. I hope whoever adopts me lets me sleep on their bed. I love to snuggle in and I can be quiet all night."

Scruffers, declawed, is so anxious to get out of his cage and be free and is so happy to be petted and fondled. He is barely past kittenhood so no wonder he wants to play but because he is declawed he lacks the protection he needs. There are some bullies in the group who would take advantage of him. Silvermist is a 3 year old Singapura mix. Rescued upstate NY from an abusive hoarding situation. Her jaw was broken and caused her to become deaf from the injuries, which causes her minimal problems. Silvermist is one of the sweetest cats. She's very vocal and has the cutest little "kitten call". Her daughter, Tigerlily, is on her way to adoption and now it's time for Silvermist to find her forever home.

Silvio is a stunning 5-7 year old male. He seems to be a mix of some kind of Persian. Although Silvio is longhaired, he doesn't shed a ton. Silvio is declawed in his front paws as well. This poor young cat has been bounced around a lot in his life time. He somehow ended up in a shelter as a kitten, but luckily was rescued. He then was adopted to a woman who loved him, but was allergic to her smoking, so he once again had to find a home. His new owners, years later, discovered that he had some kind of bladder stones, making it necessary for him to have surgery. After his surgery, he has had to eat a special type of food. His owners refused to purchase the food for him, causing him to urinate excessively once again. They did not want to do another surgery (which the food could have possibly prevented) so they decided to euthanize him. Everyone in the vet's office refused, so he is now looking for his forever home! Since then, Silvio has been on the special diet for the stones, and he always pees in his litter box. If for some reason he needs a second surgery in the future, the vets will do it at their own cost for his new owners. Otherwise, Silvio is the perfect cat! He adores attention, and just like a dog he will lick your face as a greeting when you open his cage. He puts his paws on your shoulders and hugs you. He "talks" to you sometimes too. He is very cuddly and not in the least bit shy. He also adores being brushed. You could not ask for a better, more handsome cat!!!

He was found on the street but had to have come from a home because besides being fine with cats and comfortable with visiting dogs, he is a loyal companion to his foster mother. is a beautiful boy who is full of love and affection. He loves to be picked up and will melt right into you. He is great with other cats and loves dogs. He will be a little shy at first for a day or two but comes right out of it. Even when my cats hissed at him first, he just walked around them and did not fight back or get scared. He is really a wonderful boy. He does have an old injury to his right eye and was seen by an eye specialist who determined that since the injury was not treated promptly, he has no vision at all in that eye. This does not stop him at all. There is no medical treatment needed. We think he looks very exotic with 1 blue eye and 1 yellow. He is about 1-2 years old and still very playful. He can run around after a "mouse" and keep himself busy for a long time.

Simon is a beautiful male Seal Point Siamese. He is approx. 8 years old. Neutered and UTD on his vaccines. His owner lost her job and home and could no longer take care of him. Simone was rescued with her 5 kittens when they were only 3 weeks old and placed in loving foster care. Her kittens are ready for adoption and so is mother Simone. About a year od and very friendly, Simone appears to have some Burmese in her ancestry as well as Russian Blue and is very talkative. Skip is an adorable 13 week-old red tabby male who loves to play with stuffed mice and strings. Skip is a cerebellar hypoplasia kitten, which means that he's a little wobbly when he moves on his feet, and falls over occasionally. His condition is permanent, but won't require any treatment and does not affect his life expectancy. He's a happy little guy and has no idea that he's different than other cats (so please don't tell him). His mother Paula is also listed, and although it's not a must, they would love to go to a home together. This bright orange, black and white calico has an unusual bushy tail (interesting ancestors on both sides). She is not only beautiful but has a wonderful nature. She is good with cats, children and dogs as well as adults, is playful, impeccablly clean and doesn't make a nuisance of herself with scratching. We know all this because the family that gave her up with great relucantance (mom has asthma and allergies) could not stop talking about what a great cat she is in every way. Skky is just over a year old.

Sky is a velvety little tuxedo who is quite smart. She lets her brother (Rocco, also available for adoption) explore new settings and friends, and when he gives the "all clear" sign, she comes out to play. Her surprising voice alerts her humans to meal time - very funny! Sky likes other cats and is OK with dogs but prefers they ignore her. This gentle love was born about mid-May.

Skye is the most angelic looking ball of silvery-gray fur (with a white underbelly) but she definitely has a mind of her own. She wants to taste the food you eat and has been known to steal a lemon tart from a dessert plate. She sits on your lap when she pleases and shares your bed. When she arrived, she was a little stand-offish with the other cats but now she shares cushions with them and is a peaceful member of the gang. Skye, about 7 months old, was found trying to fend for herself on a busy street. We are so glad for her and us that we had room for her.

Very sweet and playful, we know Snopus was once someone’s special pet before we found him wandering the streets of Mamaroneck. & his brother Frost are "twins" actually mirror images. Each has a green eye, and a blue eye on the opposite side! Both are silky long hair and Leukemia negative. Totally loving and quite handsome. There are both deaf. A deaf cat is the almost perfect cat. They don't startle easily, and like to be vacuumed! The vibrations of the vacuum seem to soothe them. Shedding is really minimal. The little guys were abandoned and lost a sibling but were lucky to survive. Now 8 weeks they are ready for a new life full of love and fun which they will return in kind! Snowdrop (an adorable, playful female kitten) is part of a litter of 4 kittens who were born (1/22/15) in a window well of an apartment complex in Riverdale. Our dedicated rescuer received a call from a friend who had been hearing kittens crying. She and another tenant rescued the kittens from their snowy hiding place and started bottle feeding. Snowdrop's siblings are Chilly, Frosty and Winter. Snowdrop is especially bonded to Frosty and they need to be adopted together.

Socrates was living on the street for months, in a very rough area. He managed to find his way to a colony of cats that were being fed regularly. A volunteer noticed that he was limping towards the food. She picked him up, took him home, and immediately sought veterinary care. After he was examined by the vet, it was determined that Socrates did have previous leg trauma, but has recovered nicely. No one predicted that this poor kitty would be overflowing with personality. Under the dirty facade, this three-year-old jowly cat was a complete surprise. He is a combination of Casanova and Prince Charming! This calm and gentle boy craves human attention and touch, and will follow you everywhere. His favorite thing to do is to sit on a warm lap and he will gladly do so 24 hours a day. Born August 2021 Soleil is a sweet, gentle young soul. While she is still somewhat shy around people, she loves other cats and would greatly benefit from another kitty in the home. Though still timid, Soleil is quite affectionate and, given time, also likes to play. She likes to look out of the window and watch the birds and squirrels outside. A peaceful home with another cat who loves to cuddle as much as she does would help bring her out of her shell. Solo was found starving and with severe a eye infection. He has been to the vet and has been on medication for over two weeks. He is now plump and healthy. Unfortunately, he lost sight in both eyes due to the infection. He can see better from his right eye but has limited vision on his left. That does not slow him down one bit. He is happy, outgoing and playful. He is great with all other pets and has a very trusting disposition.

My name is Sophie and I was rescued about 2 months ago in Yonkers. I am about a year and a half old, very petite, sweet, loving and I have 6 toes on both my front paws! I am very friendly and get along well with my mom's three other cats (all boys). We love to chase each other, roll around on the couch, fall of the couch and then start all over again. And then we rest, eat and groom each other. But my favorite thing to do is to chase my tail. I want to make sure you know that I have to take some medication. It's really not a big deal . . . just a steroid pill. And I probably will only need half a pill soon. I have an auto immune disease and to keep it in check, I need my medicine. Spooky is the perfect cat. She's a calico who loves to play with sunbeams, toys and people. She's always ready to be held and loved. She is about 4 years old.

Spot

was named for the spot to the side of his nose but we think he deserves a better name. He's a sleek tuxedo with a shiny coat. He and his brother, BRUCE, who has a white pin stripe down the center of his nose, came to us because their owner had to return to England to take care of her ailing father. England has a harsh 6-month quarantine period which their owner did not want to subject them to. Both cats, 7 years old, can be adopted together or separately. They love to be held and are loving and devoted pets although shy with strangers.

Spot - Adoption Pending Spot is a young, handsome cat - between 1 year old and 18 months.  A few months ago, he appeared in the yard of his current caregiver, who took him into her house and determined he had once belonged to a human who let him go.  Spot is extremely playful and verbal with a tendency to playfully "nip" at his human or at other cats. He will weave in and out of his caregiver's legs purring and rubbing against her and then playfully "nip". Spot was recently seen at the Humane Society of Westchester for testing, vaccinations and neutering.  He is in good health and up to date with all.    The caregiver feels Spot will be best in a household without young children and as the only pet. Squeaky is a sweet and lively 7 week old Maine Coon mix girl (born March 2014), part of a larger litter. Raised with her feline Mom, she and her sister Sarah (also featured on this website) are social, friendly and playful. Squeaky lives in a great foster home with other cats and dogs too!

This handsome two year old boy (born 12/18) is always on the lookout for attention and pets. Be careful, you may find him circling your legs if you stand still too long without acknowledging his presence. Stanley might also simply be asking for a quick game of "chase the light", one of his favorite pastimes. Either way, you'll never be lonely with this friendly, loving companion. She was adopted from Pet Rescue 5 years ago but was locked away in a room all by herself because their dog terrorizes her and their son is allergic. Our boy was trapped in his owner's house for days with three dogs before being rescued, and placed in a Pet Rescue foster home. Stella & Luna are about 12 weeks old (as of 12/19/16) and full of kitten fun! They love exploring, racing around, playing with toy mice and their feather toy. This friendly little guy was found wandering around the streets of Woodlawn by one of our Pet Rescue volunteers. He was very hungry and looking for a friend. Now, Steve is very happy roaming around his foster home with other feline friends. This sweet boy loves to be held and purrs as soon as he is picked up. He also wags his tail when he is petted! He would make a wonderful addition to any loving home.

Stevie (brother to Squeaky and Sarah) is a 7 week old Maine Coon mix kitten (born March 2014) who is as sociable, lively, friendly and adorable as his sisters. This cute little boy was raised by his feline mom and now resides in a great foster home with other cats and dogs too!

is about 5 1/2 months and just beautiful! He looks like a Persian mix. He has long black and white fur, golden/green eyes, a cute pink nose and a fluffy black tail. He is a very sweet, gentle cat. He really needs a home with another playful cat since he loves their company and enjoys playing.

Storm

is wearing a green bandage until his leg is fully healed. We discovered that he fell out of a 6th story window but his injury didn't hurt his personality. He get along with everyone. His unusual coat seems to have a light sprinkling of snow.

Strudel

DOB: 8/17/25 Strudel is a playful, loving little kitten with a big heart and an even bigger purr. She adores snuggling, curling up in your lap, and will happily sleep right next to you all night long. If you’re looking for a true companion cat, Strudel is your girl. She’s incredibly social and confident — great with other cats and totally comfortable around dogs, even her foster family's 100-pound golden retriever! She loves hanging out with their adult tabby and fits right into the group like she’s always been there. Strudel would make an amazing addition to any home or family. Sue's Kittens

Abigail, the tabby, and her sister, Natasha, the Russian bluish, were bottle fed after being found on the street with no mom in sight. This lovely long haired lady is the most affectionate kitten. Her loud purr starts running as soon as you walk in the room and say hello. She's very playful, very gentle and loves to be held and carried. She'll reward you with love kisses from her bright yellow eyes. She has a great sense of humor and can turn anything into a toy.

Sugar Pie

They don't come any sweeter that this 2 year old, female survivor. She was thrown out of her home when her owners moved and was injured while trying to adjust to street life. She sustained lacerations to her head but has made a quick and full recovery. Thankfully, one of our diligent volunteers rescued her before she could be hurt any longer and quickly realized this doll deserves a wonderful, forever home. Sugar Plum Kitties These sweet Sugar Plum Kitties are all from the same litter, and are almost 11 weeks old, born late September. This little tribe consists of two male buff/orange boys: one short hair and one long hair - Kirk and Charlie respectively – and three girls: Coco; a brown/orange tabby, Willa and Emma; short hair and medium hair gray tabbies. These delightful babies love to play together, have very good litter box skills and are friendly. Kirk Kirk is from the Sugar Plum Kitties group. He is a beautiful short hair buff/orange tabby. Friendly and precocious, this congenial little guy loves to be in the middle of the action, so whatever you are doing, he will want to come over and say hello. He is very happy to come right to the front when getting his picture taken by his foster mom and taps the camera phone as if to say “take a picture of ME!” Befittingly named after Captain Kirk, he is an adventurer and would love to come explore his forever home. If you are considering adopting Kirk, please consider adopting a sibling as well so he can have a buddy! Charlie Charlie is from the Sugar Plum Kitties group. He is a gorgeous long hair buff/orange tabby. He is the biggest of his little tribe, but a gentle “giant”. Friendly, super-furry and happy-go-lucky, this butterball is absolutely irresistible! If you are considering adopting Charlie, please consider adopting a sibling as well so he can have a buddy! Emma Emma is from the Sugar Plum Kitties group. She is a super-soft medium hair light gray tabby with a white flank. Emma is a sweetheart, and very playful. Unlike her outgoing brothers, she is more of a “follower” in the group and will happily say hello and receive attention once she knows she is safe. She is a an elegant short hair brown and orange-ish tabby with beautiful marble markings. Coco is darling and rambunctious. She is famous for her splayed out poses when she naps and is in absolute bliss when she goes to dreamland. If you are considering adopting Coco, please consider adopting a sibling as well so she can have a buddy! Willa Willa is from the Sugar Plum Kitties group. She is a very pretty short hair heather gray tabby with hints of amber. She is a little sweetie who is looking for a stable home where she can feel secure. Because Willa was rescued after her siblings, she has not bonded back with her group, and prefers to be where people are vs. her siblings. She will follow her foster parents around, and seems to feel better if she knows where you are. Willa will do very well with a person she can spend a lot of time and be one-on-one with.

Sugar-Boy

This stunning Flamepoint Siamese was found abandoned in the basement of an apt building with burn marks all along one side of his body. Clearly he had been abused. He went straight to our vet and then one of our volunteers took him home to foster and nursed him back to health. Most of his beautiful fur has grown back. He does have some hearing and eyesight loss which affects his balance slightly but does not prevent him from being a normal cat. Despite all he has been through, he's always been super sweet - so we named him Sugar-Boy. He deserves a very special home where he will be loved forever. Could that be you?

Suger Daddy

What a true Sugar Daddy this big hunk of male cat is! Sweet and mellow with an engaging personality, our Sugar Daddy would make for a perfect family cat. He loves to be petted, enjoys human contact, is sociable and good natured. Nothing seems to phase this big boy. We haven't seen him around dogs, but feel there is a good chance he will be comfortable with canines who like cats.

Suki

Born 4/1/23 Suki's unusual coloring draws attention but it's her sweet personality that will make you want to take her home. Suki was found on the street in the Bronx but you would never know it. She adores attention and pets. She loves to play with toys and often sleeps with her stuffed mouse in her bed. Suki does prefer to be the only pet in your home but that means she gets all the love and attention.

Sully and Little Bear

These two bookend brothers were orphans when they were rescued by Pet Rescue NY, and are now eagerly awaiting the next chapter to their story. Healthy, happy kitties, both love to play and wrestle, and love attention. Little Bear is a beautiful, soft solid gray flannel color. A very gentle buddy, Little Bear was shy at first. It took some time for him to trust people, but now he is very loving and sweet. He loves belly rubs and affection from a calm and gentle friend. Sully is a happy, outgoing, adaptable and approachable buddy, with a glossy black coat. He is first to walk up to you to say hello and to see what you're about. "You want to pet me? Sure! I am happy to oblige!" This little guy is definitely a happy-go-lucky type. You'll be a good fit for Sully if you are looking for a wonderful all-around kitten. Summer

Rescued from a field in the Bronx, Summer is a SUPER affectionate one year old tabby with white who just loves rubbing on your hands and feet. Two other things this cuties loves is being brushed and playing. Summer is very dog friendly, but prefers to be the only cat in the household.

Sun King

Sun King is a gorgeous, large, orange 2-year old male with a proud, sunny disposition who cuddles up to adults. This regal feline appreciates respect for his independent spirit. Friendly with other cats, neutered and up-to-date with all immunizations.

Sunbeam

Sunbeam is a sweet, gentle 4yr old male Tabby who is very shy. With a patient adopter he will slowly emerge from his timid shell. He loves to be petted, and scratches behind the ears garner the most nuzzles from this big mushball. While not interested in balls or catnip, he does like interactive play with his feathered toy. He is sweet, clean and very low maintenance. Currently he resides in a foster home where he is receiving lots of tender loving care.

Sunflower is an adult kitty who was turned out of her home. Found by the side of the road, Sunflower can be cheerful and friendly, with more than a bit of mischief in her personality. This beautiful little orange tabby was found on the streets in New Rochelle. About 2 years old, Sunshine was brought to Pet Rescue as a very scared boy. Super Heroes

MISTIQUE AND GAMORA ADOPTED The Super Heroes are Mistique, Nova and Gamora - three 9-week old (as of 10-22-19) female kittens. Only Nova remains to be adopted. Nova (gray tabby - all gray and black with white chin) is a curious and affectionate little girl. She loves to poke around various hiding places and make them her playground. Sushi, pure white with yellow eyes, is not just a beauty, but is so friendly that she happily goes nose to nose with dogs. Sushi and her kittens were abandoned some time ago at a vet's office who turned the lovely cat over to Pet Rescue. This former Mom (long since spayed) is ready to make a lucky human very happy.

She was found at a building site at a 112th St. in Manhattan, pregnant, (although not more than 8 months old) and probably abandoned there because someone didn't want to take responsibility. Now she is spayed and ready to go to a lucky home. She is gregarious but properly respectful of the other cats in our cat group. She could not be easier and nicer to live with.

Susie

Susie is a lovely young tabby, with beautiful green eyes that will look longingly at you. She is very sweet and affectionate with a delightful personality. Our Susie is a real cutie and deserves your attention if you like tabbys.

Suzee

is a prize for fanciers of fancy cats as well as anyone else who wants a good companion. She is an exotic short hair, a combination of long haired Persian and American short hair and has a beautiful chinchilla coat. Suzee, less than 2 years old, was abandoned in an apartment when her owner left. She is sometimes a little suspicious with people she doesn't know but is more often cuddly and sweet. Exotic short hair, a breed in itself, is known to be happily domestic, a good stay-at-home cat and super intelligent. Before she came to us she lived with a single man.

Suzi

Suzi a sweet tortoise/calico is another refugee from the streets although she wasn't born there. We know that because she was friendly from the beginning. We have found also that she is happy with people but uncomfortable with other cats (she must have been so miserable on the streets). We have her in her own cage and would like to see her on the loving lap she deserves.

Sweeper

Meet Sweeper! He is a young kitty who needs a forever home. He loves cuddling up in bed or on the couch with his foster family and listening to Bob Marley (his tail dances to it!). Sweeper was found in a street sweeper without his family and needs lots of attention from those he loves. Sweeps would probably be happiest in a family with other playful and fun-loving pets and with lots or paper he could chase around. Bring this adorable little baby into your home soon! EV

Sweet Muffin

Muffin is a friendly, indoor-outdoor 11-year old female cat that has lived in Larchmont all her life. She loves people and is very affectionate. She does like to go outside for an hour or two on warm evenings, but does not insist on this. Sadly, her owner must find a new home for her as his weekly travels prevent him from giving this sweet kitty the human attention she craves. She likes to sleep on her owner's bed and snuggles into him. She loves to be petted, and gets along well with both adults and children, but is skittish around dogs and other cats. Muffin is in excellent health and up to date with vaccinations. Sweet Pea & Olive

Sweet Pea and Olive are 11 week old sisters who are very affectionate and a lot of fun. They have the most beautiful faces and talk to the foster mom as soon as she walks into the room. They love to be a part of the action and play all day with their many toys. We would like them to be adopted together as they are very attached to each other and sleep with their arms around each other.

Sweet Princess

Sweet Princess is a declawed 8 year old grey tabby cat whose owner has come on hard times and has to leave his residence. He cannot take care of Princess, or her sibling, Taylor, also declawed. This lovely girl is up to date with all shots and vaccinations, spayed and in good health. Both Princess and her brother are sweet, lovable cats originally rescued as kittens who now need a new home. Sweet Violet is a lovely 6 year old female kitty, who is also FIV positive. This darling is very friendly and playful, she likes other cats and is very healthy. She resides in a foster home where there are other cats, dogs and kids. bp

Her name says it all.. this is the sweetest, most affectionate young cat. She has a beautiful, fluffy tail and loves to sit on your lap to be petted. She is about 4 months old.

Sydney

Beautiful Sydney is an exotic looking long-haired cat with some Russian Blue, Maine Coon and Siamese in her background. She is both sweet and spunky, friendly, and gorgeous with a fluffy grey mane that looks and feels like velour. This distinctive looking kitty simply must be seen to be genuinely appreciated.

She like to play with bottle-caps and chase anything that dangles. Born March 2023- Courtesy Listing These two delightful kittens were trapped when they were 8-9 weeks old and now are like regular house cats. Sydney (tuxedo male) is adventurous, playful and likes to be pet and play. Along with his sister Carmy (black) he has a very sweet disposition, uses the litter box, is in good health and UTD with rabies vaccination. The kittens will play with anyone who comes along and have been introduced to at least one dog with whom they played. Sylvester is cute, cute, cute! At around12 weeks old and 3 1/2 pounds, he can turn almost any household object into a toy to amuse himself. He enjoys exploring every nook and cranny with his buddies, the other cats and dogs in his foster home. Sylvester will make a great addition to any family.

Sylvester came to Pet Rescue with Romeo (also featured) but the two boys are completely different in personality. The tuxedo Sylvester was initially shy, but with lots of tender loving care has turned into one of the sweetest natured, friendliest cats we have, who wants the attention of every human he sees. He will roll over and let you rub his belly. Sylvester should do well in a family environment.

Born February 2022 Sylvester is a very special young boy. He survived a dog attack that resulted in the amputation of his rear leg. He's completely healed and healthy. Sylvester can run and jump with his feline buddies and often surprises our volunteers by popping out of hidey holes on the cat tree. He's a friendly boy and welcomes pets and attention. He's comfortable with other feline friends but may not be placed in a home with dogs.

Sylvester & Dylan

Sylvester and his brother Dylan were found as teens behind an Imperial Milk Mart. Our volunteer who trapped these exceptionally soft beautiful tabbies spent months afterward making friends with them. Now Sylvester, the platinum boy, is completely tame and loves to be petted while Dylan is still a little tentative although getting friendlier every day. They are gentle and beautiful pets, less than a year old. They would like to find a home together.

Sylvester is a declawed tuxedo 14-year old cat in good health, who is up to date with all his vaccinations. Sadly, his owner recently had to enter a long term care facility that doesn't allow pets. His owner's daughter would love to take sweet Sylvester but she owns a dog who doesn't tolerate cats. Poor Sylvester is in need of a new forever home where he can get the love and attention he deserves. Born May 9, 2022 Sylvie is an adorable kitten being fostered with her brother and sisters. Sylvie is the leader of the pack and is the first to do everything. She’s bossy and brave- she’s the only one of the four to walk right up to the vacuum cleaner to try to figure it out rather than hide! If there was ever going to be another cat-riding-a-Roomba video to go viral, Sylvie would be the star. But when she’s done exploring, she loves snuggles and curls up to sleep as close to you as she can. Adopt her and let her show your appliances who’s boss! These stunning brothers are 5 month old Maine Coone mixes. The boys are very bonded and always eat, play and sleep together.
