Zac & Vanessa

These two puppies are doing great in their foster home. They are living with kids ages 5 and up and multiple cats. They love to play and cuddle and are very well adjusted. They are blooming into beautiful pups with shiny coats. They are about 15 weeks old and around 20-25 lbs. They will make great family pets of about medium to large size for a home that has the love and time to give them.

Zach

Zach is a sweet, mellow, and gentle 12 week old lab mix and 18 lbs. He loves to play with his foster brother and his toys. Zach discovered the joys of playing in the snow this week and is adorable to watch climb the backyard mounds. He is great in the car and exploring the world. Meet Zach... the sweetest boy ever! He is friendly with people and other dogs, and is a chill, wonderful companion. We love all of him, but are working to take off a few pounds. We think Zach was loved a little too much, and possible fed a little too much, but we are working on that. Zack is a very playful and loving approximately 3 month old Boxer (?) mix. His favorite thing is to snuggle up in your lap and his second favorite is to run around with his brother Cody and his large furry foster brother. Zack would make a wonderful pet for a lucky family. And oh those ears!

Meet Zafira. She is a 6 month old lab mix and currently weighs about 18lbs. She is originally from Puerto Rico and spent her Memorial Day Weekend traveling to the USA! She is sweet as can be! She absolutely loves to play with other dogs no matter how big or small. She even gets along great with cats! She is doing very well in her foster home. She is crate trained, has almost mastered potty training, and is eager to learn new tricks. She will do just about anything for a treat! She is a pup with a lot of energy so she would do best in a home with an active family or a home with another dog.

Zahara is a funloving sweet puppy. She is about 14 weeks and 13 lbs. She sleeps through the night very peacefully and spends her days playing with her foster siblings, big and small. She will make a great family dog.

Zane looks like a mix of a corgi and flat-coated retriever. About two years old, he weighs 30 pounds. He is very sweet dog, completely housebroken, walks very well on the leash, is good in the dog park with dogs and people We recommend he go to a home with children over 8 yrs of age.

Zara is a 6 month old puppy and around 34 pounds now and has a smooth black coat. She will probably not grow to lab size although she looks like one. Zara is very happy and calm, gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves people of all ages. Zara is an 11-month old, 45 lb lab mix. She is intelligent and eager to please. Zara has learned several basic commands, including "sit", "stay", "come", "down" and "lie down". Zara is housebroken and is working on her leash manners. She is an active girl who needs plenty of exercise (soccer is her favorite!). She sleeps through the night and always stays in her designated "spot". Zara has been happily living with kids for the last 6 months and gets along great with other dogs. Zara is such an adorable 3-4 year old female Chi mix and is 10 lbs of love. She is calm and quiet and likes to be close to her foster mom or dad all the time. She is not a yappy dog either! Zara walks well on the leash and is house trained if walked regularly. She does get a little jealous and is definitely a one person kinda dog. She tolerates the other dogs in her foster home, but would be best as an only dog. She does like the dog park to romp around and play with the other dogs. Zara is definitely a Chihuahua with personality!

Zeb

Zeb is a beautiful tri-color mix breed, about 10-12 months old and 40 lbs. He is an an extremely playful and outgoing dog, who would be a great candidate for basic training. Since he does like to jump up, we would not recommend a home with toddlers. Zeb goes to the dog park almost every day where he meets new and old friends. He goes to everybody for a little attention and love. He is all around great, affectionate and loving. While this is a playful boy, he calms down nicely in the home and is not overly active. we are not sure if he is house broken, but he is very clean.

Zee is an affectionate 9 month old bully/boxer mix, who's original owners found that they could no longer properly care for him. He's a smart boy who learns quickly and is housebroken and crate trained. He is a mellow passenger in the car while crated. Zee is still a pup, and a work in progress. This little boy has long legs but only weighs about 12 lbs. he is about 10-12 months old and should be close to being full grown. He loves his buddies and especially likes to play with other puppies. Zeke is a gorgeous Great Dane, weighing about 120 lbs and needs to gain about 25 lbs. (we're working on that!). He's a beautiful Liver/Red and White color. This gentle giant is under a year old and still very much a pup. He has beautiful markings and looks very elegant as he saunters around the yard. Everyone stops to admire this handsome boy. While very regal, he is also a big goofball that is learning his own size. He walks well on leash, is friendly with all and would love to find an loving home.

Griselda is around four years old, 60 lbs, UTD on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Zelda is being fostered with cats and (male) dogs and has been a delight. She has an exuberant personality, yet she’s is also just a coach potato! She is house and crate trained. Zelda has some slight allergies, but her foster mom is trying to resolve it with diet and an allergy/sensitivity test to get to the bottom of it. Zelda would do best in a calm household with a fairly active human(s), someone who will take her on long walks. Due to some separation anxiety, she cannot be left for a full work day, so someone who works part-time or works from home would be ideal! As Zelda is a dominant breed and housing has become increasingly challenging, we have a 27+ yo age requirement and prefer a home with a fenced yard. Zena is about 8-10 months old and around 22 lbs. (her sister Zoe was adopted) She has really come out of her shell since moving in with her foster family. She is very sweet and very cuddly. She is content just sitting on your lap and especially loves being outdoors. The foster mom takes her everywhere and she especially loves going to school and seeing the kids. She loves everyone she meets, but is a little nervous around big dogs.

Zena is one happy girl. She gets along great with all of the dogs in her foster home. She is respectful of the older one and plays endlessly with the younger ones. She loves people, including young children, and immediately rolls over for a nice belly rub. She is a gentle girl and knows some basic commands like "sit" and "down". She is fine with cats. Zena loves to ride in the car, but if she can't go with you is content to stay in her crate. She would make a great hiking companion or enjoy trips to the dog park as she is very reliable off leash. Zeus and rose

We are Zeus (black) and Rose (black and white), rescued from the Hurricane Harvey area in Texas after the home of our foster mom there was destroyed :(. We are approximately 2 1/2 years old, 76 and 66 lbs and 2 of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! We have settled in beautifully to our wonderful foster home and we are hoping with all of our might we will be adopted together since we are incredibly bonded and so in love with each other. When we are taking our naps, or in our crate for the night, we sleep very close together and our heads are always on each other. We are Pitbulls but act more like lovable Labs - we are absolute cuddle bugs, enjoy playing in the yard, love other dogs and cats and are so gentle and amazing with people that you won’t be able to stop from falling in love with us. We are housebroken, sleep in our crate quietly throughout the night and always enjoy a good bone to chew on. We walk nicely on the leash and love to meet new people, with Zeus showing Rose the world is safe place. Our perfect family is a home with older children because of our size. Ziggy is an gorgeous husky/collie mix, about 2 years old and 50 lbs. He was living outside on a chain when we rescued him - he is adjusting nicely to living indoors and manners training. He is a silly mischievous boy who just wants to be part of a family with a regular routine. His foster home has 3 other huskies and Ziggy especially loves to "husky play" with the youngest one (see video). He is very good-natured, housebroken and loves to sit on the couch to snuggle with you and watch TV. He gets all mushy when you gently massage his beautiful eyes and ears. We are looking for a home that has another young, playful active dog his size and a fully fenced-in (5 ft+) yard - he does chase cats, so a no-feline home would be best. He has a heart of gold and the lucky person who adopts him will have a wonderful companion for life.

Zippy is a young, energetic dog who is completely housebroken, friendly and lots of fun! He would benefit from a home with another dog to play with or a family who will give him sufficient exercise and socialization in the way of long walks, jogging or visiting the local dog park. Although he is small enough to be a lap dog, Zippy does not sit still in your lap for long. He loves attention and affection, but also loves to run and play fetch. Right now she is paper trained and we have started the process of crate training her. She is very clever so I know she will pick it up quickly. She comes when she is called and doesn't seem to chew anything except her toys. She has an amazing personality...all she wants to do is please everyone and be loved. She is about 12 weeks and around 15 lbs.

Zoe is a 1 1/2 year old Lab Mix, aprox. 40-45 lbs, with possible German Short haired pointer from what our vet has told us. She is a joy! Affectionate personality plus!!! Loves to talk to you, and always ready for hugs and kisses! She lives with her Malinois sister Goldie, and with children. She is such a mush, not a mean bone in her body, and would do well in any home situation. She has never been around cats, so we do not know if she likes them or not. Zoe loves her kiddie pool and can be found splashing in it on hot summer days. She likes to bark at birds and squirrels, and is fascinated by them. She is up to date on her vet care and healthy. She has been crate trained and still likes to sleep in her crate at times. She is completely house trained. She would love to find a home with her sister Goldie if possible.

Zoe

Zoe is an energetic beagle mix, about 10 lbs and 4 months old. She is a sweet girl who is full of energy, she LOVES to play and play!! She has a very willful personality and needs to be with an experienced owner that will set boundaries for her and take the time to train her properly. She needs to go to an active home with another dog who will be dominant over her and be a good influence, who she can look up to and play with!! Zoe wants to be "top dog" and needs a family who will keep her in her place. When not trying to be the boss she is great with other dogs and cats too. She is working on her housebreaking, is crate trained and is great in the car.

I am just four years old and really need to find a true forever home. My foster mom thinks that I am very easy: housebroken, love to cuddle, not a barker and love going on walks. There is not an easier dog around, I'm a loving companion who is full of personality, but not hyper and love nothing more than to sit by your side or join you on long car rides. I have to take medicine for my thyroid twice a day…just a pill I take easily with a treat. There is not a sweeter girl alive than me! Please give me a second chance and come meet me! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Zoe is an adorable 1 year old female wire haired Doxie mix and is 10 lbs. She is a gentle little girl that loves to be held and petted, but does have a very playful side. She loves dog toys and may even like a friendly game of tug of war. Zoe will also curl up right next to you when she wants to rest. She doesn't seem to bark and is working on her housetraining.

Zoe is an adorable, sweet and cuddly year old, 10 pound terrier mix. She has the body of a dachshund, the face and ears of a terrier and wirey hair. She loves to play with her sister, Chloe and the other dogs in her foster home but is just as happy being the center of attention. Zoe is great in the car and easy on the leash. She loves exploring the back yard and just hanging out with the family. Zoe is still very much a puppy and would love to go to puppy classes. Zoe would love a family to call her own.

Zoe is a ridiculously adorable Westie/Maltese (?) mix, about 7 months old and 15 lbs. She is super cute and so friendly. She loves humans of all ages and loves being with her people. Zoe is a sweet, petite 1 year old Shiba Inu mix weighing only 27 lbs. This little angel was rescued from the South Korean Meat Trade. While she was unsure of her surroundings when she first arrived, she is slowly warming up to her humans. This little lady loves to run around and play with her four legged friends whether it's in the yard or on a walk. Zoe really prefers the companionship of fellow canines and therefore must go to a home with another furry friend. Given her shy nature, Zoe will do best in a quiet, adult only home that will help bring her out of her shell. She must go to a home that has a fully fenced in yard.

Zorro is a beautiful boy! He is about six years old and would love nothing more then a loving home where he is appreciated. He was returned to Pet Rescue after six years due to some changes in the family. He is a loving boy, housebroken, leash trained and knows his basic commands. He would like to go to a home where he is the only four legged family member, so he can have your undivided attention.

Zuly is a gorgeous Border Collie mix. She is fun, silly, vivacious and bonds with her humans quickly. She is energetic, sweet, playful and enjoys the company of other dogs... playing chase, or just goofing around. At 2 years old, she is beyond the puppy stage, and there will be no mistaking your slipper for a dog toy. A smartie and a fast learner, Zuly has a nice sit and stay, but good solid training will be beneficial to the whole family. Zuly loves to work, and loves getting praise and recognition of a job well done. Zuly is working on her manners..(to her delight, the counter is a perfect height for checking out what smells so good) and she is learning to walk on a leash. Zuly loves to play in the garden hose...she thinks it’s hysterical to get sprayed and get a little drink. She also loves a nice belly rub. Zuly is learning about cats, but the jury is still out. She will chase if the cats run, but she stands down if the cats stand up to her. As a herding breed Zuly leans into you and follows everywhere. She is energetic and will need space and exercise. She is exuberant and smart, and a fenced in yard would be a plus. As herders need to be kept busy, she would be a great agility training partner...using her brain and expending her energy will make her a tired, happy dog. Zuly will do best in a home with older children due to her energy level. Zuly is super affectionate, and will fall asleep in your arms. So, if you are looking for a gorgeous border collie mix and a best friend, ready for adventure, Zuly is waiting for you. One look at that beautiful puppy face, and you will melt. The best way to describe Zuri is calm, friendly, kind and extremely smart. Zuri is reserved and is still learning to trust the world. At first meetings she is a little shy but warms up quickly. She is friendly towards people and loves other dogs. Zuri is best suited to a calm, low key home...a family in a suburban environment with no small children. Zuri has normal puppy energy and likes to sniff everything in sight. She likes belly rubs, pets and attention, and also will cuddle, but is not needy and seems to be able to keep herself occupied while others are around. She plays well with her puppy buddies and is just an all around really nice girl. At quiet times she will also be happy with time on the couch lounging with her people while they watch TV.
