This boy was found in Little Italy looking for a meal and a warm place to stay. Mickey loves a window view and happily chitters at the birds outside but he'll take a break from whatever has captured his attention to get pets. Born November 2018 Hi, My name is Pudding and I'm about seven years old. The volunteers at the Kitty Cottage say I'm as sweet as pudding. I was found wandering around Port Chester, looking for a safe place and a little kindness. I was cared for once but it didn't stick and I've been waiting a long time for another chance. Please don't mind my crinkled ear. I had an infection but I didn't have anyone to help me. This time I visited a doctor, got good food, a warm bed and furry new friends. I'm so happy that I greet everyone with a purr that sounds like a motor and I roll over for chin rubs. I'm a very mellow fellow and comfortable spending time with pets and people alike. My days of wandering are over and I'm ready for my very own home filled with love. |

Pinky - Courtesy Listing Pinky - Courtesy Listing Pinky was first rescued from a mechanic garage in Brooklyn and subsequently given to another rescuer who has cared for this kitty since the summer of 2025. Her rescuer describes Pinky as a 2 year old female tabby with a delightful bright spirit who is always enthusiastic to play! She would love to keep Pinky as she brings fun and joy to her life but she already has several cats of her own. Pinky is spayed, vaccinated and tested negative for FELV/FIV. She will thrive best in a home with adults and would be happy to not compete with other cats to get her humans' full attention. Pinky has done fine with a large cat friendly dog. Born June 2023 My name is Billie and I was found in Mt. Vernon with my small litter of kittens. I was a very young mom and very scared. I'm lucky my kittens and I were all taken inside. We were all healthy so my babies have homes and I am safe at the Kitty Cottage. I have good food, a very tall cat tree and a lot of fun toys but I would love a forever family. I promise I'll come running to you when you come home and roll over and over to show you how happy I am. I can also do a really neat trick with my tail...it vibrates when I'm excited. The volunteers tell me I'm a cuddle bug and always give me hugs. I'm a petite girl and won't take up too much room but I'll fill your whole heart with joy :) |

Eve is quiet but playful. Her favorite toys are small mice and soft balls. She also enjoys batting wand toys if you have time to play. Eve will join you on any soft snuggly spot you're willing to share. She's not a fan of hugs but pets are always rewarded with purrs. No dogs please. |

Oreo
Oreo is a gentle boy with a special need. He arrived at the Kitty Cottage underweight and suffering from pancreatitis. Oreo's poor diet and lack of care contributed to his illness. After several months on a new diet and a daily dose of medication, Oreo gained weight and confidence in his new surroundings. He is an affectionate cat that never misses an opportunity to snuggle on a lap. He's also fond of resting on the desk next to whoever is working with a paw ready to tap a key or hold paper in place. Oreo enjoys brushing and will stretch out to make sure no spot is missed. He is always calm and patient with visitors, even the youngest cat lovers. Oreo is equally well mannered with his feline friends. He takes his medicine with ease and never fusses. Oreo will thrive in a home with an adopter looking for a loyal, loving companion. Oreo is approx. 6 years old. |

Born September 2024 This petite girl is a classic Tortie. She loves to play and watch the world around her. Waverly's favorite toy is a small mouse that she tosses high into the air and runs to catch. She is a bit shy at first but turns into a purr machine as soon as you gain her trust. Waverly is comfortable with other cats but would prefer to be in a home without dogs. |

Maya
Born September 2024 This petite girl was found in the Bronx. She was moving between two lots with a barbed wire fence in between. Maya arrived with a few scratches but has healed well. She has a charming personality and likes to circle legs to ask for pets. Maya is quiet but playful. She does like to snuggle in small spaces for naps but also enjoys window views and cozy couches. It's hard to believe but Maya never misses a meal and treats are her favorite dessert. She's comfortable with other cats but would prefer a home without dogs. |

Born 2014 Mona is a mature lady looking for a very special forever family. She is gentle but very shy. Mona is comfortable with other cats but it has taken her several months to come out of her shell and allow our KC volunteers to approach her and even longer to accept pets without running for cover. Mona can now often be found lounging in a window bed or spending time with the other cats in the room. She often seeks the comfort of another friendly furry friend and doesn't mind sharing a cozy bed. Mona is still wary of new people and requires a patient, gentle introduction to visitors. We believe she will thrive in a quiet home with consistent, loving care and a knowledgeable adopter. Mona would do best in a calm environment, without children or dogs. She would be a wonderful companion for another calm feline friend. Mona requires a home with an experienced cat owner. |

Beau
Born 2020 Hi, I'm Beau! I'm a big handsome boy, fun loving and affectionate. I was so overweight when I arrived at the Kitty Cottage I couldn't groom myself so my fur was covered in filth. A trip to the vet revealed that I am diabetic so I need to take a pill a day and watch my weight. I am a very good boy so I gobble my pill up every morning and stay active. I'm already losing weight and the vet is hopeful that once I reach my goal, the diabetes may resolve itself. I'm ready to continue on my road to good health in my very own forever home. I even have a very special sponsor that will help my new family get started. Please come meet me. |
